SISTERS OF SAINT MARY’S

Signature Paving began work on the Sisters of St. Mary’s Beaverton, Oregon campus in July of 2017. The crews spent nearly three weeks performing major renovations to the pavement surfaces throughout the 35 acre property. Much of the work centered on removing and replacing the worn, patchwork of asphalt in 148th Avenue as well as the entire high school parking lot. In each case, the existing asphalt was ground up and hauled away for recycle. With the underlying base exposed, our crews were able to identify and repair several areas of soft sub-grade before installing additional base rock for the new pavement. The new, four-inch section of asphalt was placed in two lifts and finished with several speed humps and fresh pavement markings. A major challenge throughout the project was maintaining the flow and safety of both pedestrian and vehicular traffic on an active campus.
